#HCCHAWKS won the battle of the Hawks, taking down Anne Arundel on September 12th on our home court! Coach Rebok was very impressed with defense, giving a shoutout to our libero Alyssa Shoemaker and our defensive specialist Emma Wise on their backrow defense. Also giving a special shoutout to our front row blockers as they defended the net very well against the Riverhawks.
Highlights: Shoemaker racked up 11 digs, Miller added 20 assists to her record (she is now ranked second in the Maryland JUCO with the average of 6.5 assists per set). Miller also led HCC in the 3rd set with her serves, serving 10 points, giving HCC a 10-point lead to come out strong. Ernst had three kills, Erikson also was aggressive at the net with 7 kills!
