Hagerstown softball swept Anne Arundel CC on Sunday, 12-3 and 9-4. The wins came on the heels of losing to Rowan College of South Jersey 4-3 & 7-1 in out of conference games on Saturday.
Jordyn Brown (9-3) got the win on the mound in the first game of the doubleheader striking out 11 in 7 innings, while giving up 6 hits and walking 2. Madison Bailey and Morgan Kolich each went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, while Sydra Royer, Amber Kent and Ashley Palmer each had 2 hits. Royer and Kent each hit a home run in the game.
In the second game, Adrianna Beeler (5-1) was the winning pitcher, striking out 6, walking one and allowing 4 earned runs. The Hawks balanced hitting continued as Madison Bailey had 3 hits, with Sydra Royer, Morgan Kolich, Makayla Ambrose and Ashley Palmer each adding 2 hits. Palmer had a home run and four RBIs in the game with teammate Kaylyn Cochran also hitting one over the fence.
Hagerstown travels to Rockville on Wednesday, April 27th for a doubleheader with the Raptors beginning at 3:00 p.m.
