The Hawks, (5-3), opened at home on Tuesday, in a doubleheader against the Allegany College of Maryland Trojans, showing both offensively and defensively they are a team ready to win.
Jordyn Brown faced 20 batters in the first game, and gave up 1 run off of 5 hits, striking out 5. Madison Heuer had 3 hits out of 4 at bats, and combined with Morgan Kolich, with 2 RBIs off of 2 hits, Ashley Palmer with 2 hits, and Makayla Ambrose with a 3 run home run to mount an offensive 9-1 win in five innings.
Kaylyn Cochran lead the charge in game two, with 4 hits and 4 RBIs, while Madison Heuer had 1 RBI off of 3 hits, and Emily Shank and Sydra Royer each added 2 hits, defeating the Trojans 9-3. Adrianna Beeler got the win on the mound for the Hawks.
The Hawks host their annual spring round robin tournament, on Saturday and Sunday, hosting Lackawanna College and Corning Community College at Hawk Field. Games starting on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. and Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
