HCC competes at Hornet Harrier Invite

WINCHESTER, Va. — Skyler Johnston completed the 6K course in 22:06.6 for 29th to lead the Hagerstown Community College men to a seventh-place finish at the Shenandoah Hornet Harrier Invite at Kernstown Battlefield.

Abdou Salifou finished 41st in 23:13.6 and Jonah Golden was 49th in 23:39.7, while Chris Burgenson (53rd, 23:54.4) and Keith Gaisor (62nd, 24:32.8) rounded out the scoring.

Former Williamsport runner Scott Long finished 16th overall in 21:23.2 for Bridgewater College, which won the team title.

For the HCC women, Natalie Starssberger led the way with a 49th-place finish, completing the 5k course in 24:48.1. Sara Smith finished 71st in 27:36.2 and Kierston Dudley was 74th in 27:57.8 for the Hawks.
