Golden paces HCC men at Hood

FREDERICK, Md. — The Hagerstown Community College men placed eighth out of 14 teams at the Hood College Open on Saturday.
In the field of 133 runners in the 8K race, Jonah Golden placed 35th in 28:19 to lead HCC, which got the rest of it scoring from Skyler Johnson (48th, 28:52), Abdou Salifou (49th, 28:56), Chirs Burgenson (58th, 29:33) and Keith Gasior (80th, 31:07).
Daniel Christiansen was the winner in 25:27 for team-champ Grove City.
Natalie Strassberger was the top finisher in the women's 6K race for HCC, which didn't have a complete team. She placed 71st out of 119 in 28:54.
