THREE LADY HAWKS BRING HOME REGION 20 HONORS
Despite the Hagerstown Volleyball team falling short in the Region 20 D2 Championship against Montgomery College on November 2nd, all was not lost as they had 3 selections to the All-Region 20 D2 Team. Leading the pack was freshman middle/outside hitter, Addison Zeigler. Addie was "Ms. Do-It-All" for the Lady Hawks this past season as she played middle hitter for them in a pinch despite rightside hitter being her bread and butter. She showed that she can help the team in several ways whether it be serving, hitting for kills, diving for digs, or blocking the opponent's best hitter. Hagerstown is primed to be in a good spot next year as she plans to return for her sophomore season.
The other 2 nominees were to the second team, and earning those honors were sophomore setter/outside hitter, Emily Gasaway, and sophomore libero, Everly Harsh. Both stalwarts in their own right, they contributed mightily to the championship run this year. Gasaway showed her versatility in several opportunities from her finesse as a passer, to her power as a hitter. Wherever the team needed her, you could count on her being there and doing the job well. Harsh also was a steady presence on the backline for the Lady Hawks as she sported the opposite jersey throughout the season. Known for never giving up on a play, Harsh could be depended on to come up big in key moments. HCC will sorely miss both players as they move on to bigger and better things in their future endeavors!
Great season, ladies! Congrats on a good run! GO HAWKS!
