Hawks Volleyball Win in Straight Sets

The Lady Hawks Volleyball team defeated Anne Arundel CC in 3 sets (25-8), (25-12), (25-11).

Kiersten Erickson led the Hawks with 12 kills, Lexie Schlotterbeck had eight kills, and Katie Morgan had six.

Maddi Miller had 15 assists, and Britney Malphurs recorded eight.

Alyssa Shoemaker lead the defense with 15 digs.

During the 2nd game the Hawks were struggling with serves.

"During the 2nd game we missed five serves," Assistant Coach Brooke Morgan said. "Half of Anne Arundel's points were scored on our errors but we are working on serving aggressively with less mistakes."

Overall it was a successful night for the Hawks as they won in straight sets.

"In practice we have been working on winning the point off of a defensive play," Brooke Morgan said. "I think that tonight we did a great job finishing."

In the Hawks five wins this season, they have not dropped one set.

The Hawks will be in action again at home against Frederick CC on Friday September 13th at 6:00PM.
