Rules for 7v7 HCC Outdoor Springfest Duration of Game ● 25 Minute Game- No halves. Number of Players : ● 7v7 including Goalkeepers ● Awards will be given out to 12 players for 1 st place. ● Players only can on one team in the same age group. Equipment ● Players are required to wear the same color jersey with numbers on the back. ● Soccer cleats, turf shoe, or soccer shoes. No football cleats are allowed. the ● Shin guards are required and must be covered by long socks. ● No jewelry is allowed. Starting the Game ● The away team will kickoff to start game. ● Team can start game with 5 players. ● If team have less than 5 players team must forfeit game. ● Kickoff, ball can be play and any direction, including backwards. ● Goals can be scored from kickoff as long as it is on the offensive side of attack. To Score ● The entire ball must travel over the goal line, inside the goal. ● The ball must start out in the offensive side of the field for the goal to be valid. No scoring from defense own side. Fouls ● In all fouls, excluding red carded fouls, the other team shall be awarded an indirect kick. ● In the case of a red card, the other team will be awarded a direct kick. ● Slide tackling is legal, but players are encouraged to try to stay on their feet to take ball away from an opponent. ● For free kicks, opponents must be 5 yards away from the ball. Out of bounds ● Instead of throw-ins, kick-ins are to be used at the spot where ball went out of bounds. ● Goal kicks and thrown from the keeper must hit their side of field first before crossing midfield. Goalkeeper Rules ● NO PUNTING is allowed in this tournament due to the size of the field. ● Restarts are goalkeeper throws or rolling the ball out. Red card ● Team must play a player down for the remainder of the game. That player cannot enter the remainder of the game and will not be eligible to play for the next game. Yellow card ● Player must sit out for 2 minutes and a sub is permitted. Scoring System Win= 3 points Tie= 1 point Loss= 0 points Tie-breaker for 1 st place ● Goals against ● Goals for
Assumption of Risk and Agreement to Participate in the 8th Annual HCC 7V7 Springfestl Tournament - Participating in physical activities involves certain inherent risks of injury. Playing outdoor soccer will include coordination, agility, and cardiovascular fitness. While it is reasonably safe if guidelines are followed, some elements of risk are inherent to the physical activity. To help reduce the likelihood of injury, participants are expected to comply with the following rules: • All participants are to wear the proper footwear and shin guards • All participants are expected to follow all posted safety rules • All participants are to be attentive during instruction and activity of the game By acknowleging below as the guardian you are affirming the following: You have reviewed this information with your child and your child understands the importance of following the activity and behavior rules. You have read the preceding information and acknowledge and assume the risks associated with your child’s participation in the 8th Annual HCC 7V7 Springfest Tournament and affirm your child is voluntarily participating in the activity. You understand that the College recommends that your child consult a physician before engaging in physical activity to ensure fitness to participate. You understand you are responsible for your child’s medical expenses. In the event of medical emergency, you provide permission for transport by ambulance and medical attention as deemed warranted for your child. HCC staff will contact individuals named as emergency contacts. Waiver of Liability In consideration of being permitted to participate in the futsal tournament, on behalf of myself, my family, my heirs, and my assigns, I hereby release and hold harmless Hagerstown Community College its Trustees, and employees, volunteers, coaches, owners and lessees from and against any and all liabilities for any and all damages, expenses ,including attorney fees, claims, judgments, actions or causes of action as a result of any loss or injury to the person or property that my child may sustain or suffer while using any facilities on or off campus or in any way associated with participating in the activity, unless it is due to willful fault or gross negligence on the part of Hagerstown Community College.
