Lady Hawks fly high; Men suffer first conference loss
The Hagerstown CC Women's Soccer team notched a second win on the season beating the Howard Community College Dragons, 9-0. The Hawks are off to a great start with a two game total goal differential of 20-0. True Benshoff, freshman forward, (Waynesboro Area HS), scored 4 goals, offering 2 assists, to account for 6 total points. Rounding out the scoring, sophomore Lexi Linetty scored 2 goals, freshman Peyton Miller, 1 goal and 2 assists, freshman Amelia Beck Schmeider, 1 goal and 2 assists, freshman Brooklyn Burger, 1 goal- PK, sophomore Arial Crawford, 1 assist, and freshman Kendall Eckardt, 2 assists. The team faces a quick turnaround, opening at home tomorrow, (8/29 at 3:00 p.m.), against conference opponent, Allegany College of Maryland.
The Hagerstown CC Men's team suffered their first conference loss in the second half of the double header losing to Howard CC, 6-0. The Hawks were in the trail position early and never regained traction once behind. Freshman goaltender, Braydon Blair accounted for 7 saves, keeping the opposition scoring at bay. Hagerstown looks to bounce back tomorrow, (8/29 at 5:00 p.m.), in their first home MDJUCO matchup against Allegany College of Maryland.
