Howard Community College defeated Hagerstown CC 2-0, on Tuesday, with the Dragons striking first in the 27th minute of the first half. The Hawks had several opportunities to answer, but Howard remained on top 1-0 at the half. Hagerstown mounted continued pressure on the Dragons, until the 50 minute mark, in the second half, when Howard scored off of a penalty kick to put the game out of reach for the win.
"This is our best game this season," remarked head coach, Clifton Williams. "Our team worked hard against a top ranked school, and just fell short again."
Hagerstown takes hosts the College of Southern Maryland this Saturday, September 11th, starting at 12:00 p.m.
