Three pointers set the stage for a Hawks win

Hagerstown Community College Women's Basketball traveled to Garrett College on Wednesday for a Region 20 divisional/MDJUCO conference game against the Lady Lakers. The Hawks had a slow start, but were able to pull a lead in the 1st half behind Ella Bennett's (13) 3 three pointers. Hagerstown pulled away from the Lakers in the second half to win the contest 59-47. Andrea Elder (10) led the team with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 blocks. Briana King (23) also added 16 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Ella Bennett finished the game with 15 points, including 4 three pointers, and 5 assists. HCC is 10-8 overall, 5-2 in the conference, and look play at home next Wednesday, February 4th vs Baltimore City CC, tip off 5:30pm.
