Women's Basketball Head Coach Bernie Semler Stepping Down
The Hawks basketball team took down Allegany on Saturday February 12th 67-42.
Ashley Davis led the team with 22 points and 10 rebounds followed by Skylar Geiser with 16 points. The Hawks led comfortably at the half, 28-17, and didnt stop there. Coming out for the second half hungry, Hagerstown didnt let up the rest of the game for a great win 67-42.
During halftime head coach Bernie Semler was recognized for his amazing 17 seasons with Hagerstown Community College, as he will be stepping down at the end of this season. Bernie starterd coaching at Hagerstown in 2005, as an assistant to Dr. Marly's Palmer. He has been playing and coaching basketball for over 50 years.
The Women's Basketball team will be back in action at home on Saturday, February 19th against Howard Community College for Bernie Semler's last home game.
