The Lady Hawks began their season with a 68-56 win against the Community College of Rhode Island on Saturday in Frederick. Alexis Harris had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Kha'Niya Evans followed with 12 points and four assists. Makaylah McDonald scored eight points, seven rebounds and five assists. The Hawks overcame early shooting and turnovers problems but overcame them in the 2nd half to move onto the tournament final against Frederick CC.
The Hawks would lose 88-51 in the championship game to host Frederick CC
Alexis Harris recorded another double double for the Hawks with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Kha'Niya Evans led the Hawks (1-1) with 14 points.
The Hawks will next match-up will be their home opener against Chesapeake College on Wednesday November 6 at 6:00PM.
