Bio

​HCC Head Softball Coach, Savannah Mills, brings extensive experience to the game as both a competitor and coach. Mills joined the HCC softball staff in the 2024-25 season as the pitching coach, and was named head softball coach to start the 2025-26 season. With 14 years of playing experience and over 9 years of coaching experience, she specializes in fundamentals, developing confidence, and game mentality.  

Mills’ love for the game was established at a young age as she began her softball career in the WCGSL (Washington County Girl's Softball League), playing in the league until the age of 18. She also played travel ball with Mason Dixon Blaze for 6 years, PA Lady Steel for 2 years, and a year with PA Wild. A graduate of Clear Spring High School, Mills was a 4 year all county pitcher and was awarded the 2015 pitcher of the year. She played a fall season at HCC in 2016, and in later years, was recognized for her pitching on the 2020 Washington County All-Decade softball team. 

Coach Mills has worked closely with athletes at various stages from elementary, middle and high school, and travel league softball. Her coaching experience spans from the local FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) sports camp, Clear Spring High School, South Hagerstown High School, and the River City Rippers travel team. Known for her strong passion for the game, she teaches from real experience and prepares student-athletes to compete at the collegiate level while growing as leaders on and off the field.
