Bio
Alicen Galanis was raised in Greencastle, PA. After receiving a B.S. in Social Studies Education from Shepherd University she continues to further her education with a M.S in Curriculum Design.
Galanis was a varsity starter at her alma matter, Greencastle - Antrim. After graduation Galanis attended Virginia Wesleyan before transferring to Shepherd University to complete her undergraduate degree. Prior to arriving to Hagerstown Community College, she was coaching at Spring Mills High School in Martinsburg, WV. Galanis has coached softball on a variety of different levels and ages.
Coach Galanis has been called a “player’s coach”. She relates to each player and treats them with respect. She is interested in developing the whole person which includes; skills relevant for winning softball games, a competitive spirit and most importantly good sportsmanship/citizenship.
Alicen married her husband, Stacey, in April of 2022, and they reside in Hedgesville, WV with their basset hound, Fred.
