HCC's Talbert earns national honor
Hagerstown Community College sophomore Emily Talbert has been named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 6-12.
Talbert, a Williamsport graduate, compiled a 4-0 record and 2.00 ERA over four starts, striking out 49 over 28 innings, to lead the Hawks to their first NJCAA World Series berth in 13 years.
