#2 seed Hawks beat #3 Catamounts to advance in Region 20 Tourney

CATONSVILLE, Md. — Emily Talbert pitched a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts, and Hagerstown Community College held off Potomac State in the first round of the Region XX Division II Final Four on Thursday.

Hagerstown scored three runs in the first inning and one in the second, before Potomac cut the lead in half with two runs in the fourth.

Talbert and Madi Renn had two hits and an RBI each, and Maddy McDonough scored two runs for the Hawks (34-9).

Hagerstown will play Catonsville on Friday at noon.
