Emily Talbert pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and a run with 12 strikeouts to lead Hagerstown Community College past Corning (N.Y.) Community College in the opener of a doubleheader sweep Saturday.Cierra Beaver had two hits and two RBIs and Madi Renn had two hits and an RBI.
In the six-inning second game, Hagerstown opened with three runs in the first and added four more runs in the second, keyed by Elizabeth Churchman's three-run homer. Renn went 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs, Victoria Oliver had two hits, including a double, and an RBI and Kaitlin Wolfe scattered four hits with two strikeouts to pick up the win for the Hawks (12-4).
