Cierra Beaver took a no-hitter into the seventh inning of Sunday's Maryland JUCO doubleheader opener and finished with a one-hit shutout as Hagerstown Community College swept Harford on Sunday.
Beaver, who went 3-for-4 at the plate, walked one and struck out one while receiving excellent defensive support. Madison Clark also went 3-for-4 and Priscilla Tlapal drove in two runs for the Hawks.
In the nightcap, Clark went 3-for-5, Tiffany Stull had two hits and three RBIs, and Madi Renn added two hits and two RBIs for HCC (22-14). Ki Wallace also had two hits, while Emily Talbert went the distance in the circle, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out 13.
