The Hawks improved to 19-11 with a Maryland JUCO doubleheader sweep on Wednesday.
In the opener, Cierra Beaver went 3-for-3 with a double, Maddi Renn had two doubles and two RBIs, Madison Cork had three hits and two RBIs, and Emily Talbert homered for HCC. Katlin Wolfe pitched a complete game, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six.
In the nightcap, Tiffany Stull homered drove in three runs, and Priscilla Tlapal doubled and drove in two. Beaver, Elizabeth Churchman and Talbert had two hits each. Beaver pitched a six-inning complete game, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out four.
