Emily Talbert pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts to lead Hagerstown Community College in a five-inning rout of Garrett Community College to open a Maryland JUCO doubleheader sweep on Monday.
At the plate, Talbert had two RBIs and scored three runs in the opener. Cierra Beaver had two hits and two RBIs, Madison Clark had two hits, including a triple, and an RBI, and Tiffany Stull added two hits, including a double, drove in a run and scored three runs.
In the second game, Clark had two hits and two RBIs, Beaver had two RBIs and Katlin Wolfe pitched six innings of three-hit ball with three strikeouts for the Hawks (15-9).
