LA PLATA, Md. — Madison Clark had three hits, including a double, and three RBIs to lead Hagerstown Community College past College of Southern Maryland in the opener of a Maryland JUCO doubleheader sweep on Friday.
In the opener, Hagerstown scored five runs in the first inning and five runs in the seventh.
Tiffany Stull and Katlin Wolfe each had three hits, Cierra Beaver had three RBIs, Elizabeth Churchman had two hits, including a double, and Emily Talbert pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts.
In the second game, Madison Renn went 4-for-4 with an RBI, Bridgette Ritchey had a two-run homer, Madison Clark had two hits, Beaver pitched 6 1/3 innings for the Hawks (13-7, 4-0).
