Hawks compete in the WVU Mountaineer Classic

Hawks outdoor track and field traveled to West Virginia University to compete in the Mountaineer Classic this past weekend. 

David Butts finished 2nd in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:16.51, clocking the fastest time by an NJCAA runner this season. This time is also the second fastest time in school history. Ryan Rasco finished 3rd in the event with a time of 10:03.49. 

Zane Chalker won the men's 5000 meter with a time of 14:54.96 followed by Gabe Conder in 2nd with a time of 15:41.34. Griffin Knipp came in 8th with a time of 18:18.13. 

Jaron Pearson finsihed 9th in the men's 800 meter with a time of 2:05.26. 

Michael Murray finished 15th in the men's 100 meter with a time of 12.76. 

Josey Reineman finished 2nd in the women's high jump at 1.55M. 

The Hawks will be back in action on Saturday April 9th when they travel to George Mason Unviersity to compete in the GMU Spring Classic.
