The Hawks men's soccer team got its first win and shutout of the season with a 1-0 victory over Gallaudet University. The young Hawks dominated proceedings with a 29 to 1 edge on shots. Alan Paz made it an early lead in the 18th minute off of an assist from Carlos Pazos. The Hawks pressured the Bison's goal regularly throughout, hitting the post several times, but could not increase their lead. The Hawks backline led by Cole Kriner, Julius Takang, and keeper Braydon Blair kept the Bison at bay for the full 90, holding them to no shots on goal and posting the Hawks first shutout in more than 2 years. The Hawks compete again this Saturday at 11 am in their first region 20 contest vs Hartford Community College.
