HCC men's soccer played played to a 2-2 draw in 2OT against Chesapeake College on Tuesday. Hagerstown fell behind 2-0 early in the first half. The Hawks conceded a penalty kick that Freshman Goalkeeper, Christian Blazes was able to save, and the momentum shifted. Freshman Forward Bryce Block crossed a ball into the Chesapeake box which was deflected into the net just before halftime.
In the second half, the Hawks battled hard, creating a handful of chances while shutting out the Skipjacks. With just 31 seconds remaining in regulation, Freshman Midfielder, Matias Meza sent a corner to the top of the box, connecting with Sophomore Midfielder, Tim Burzio, who took a touch before hitting his shot into the top corner to level the match.
Both teams battled hard in both overtimes, neither team could find a winner.
Christian Blazes finished with 14 saves.
