Hagerstown Men's Basketball
Hagerstown Community College Men's Basketball finished the season at 500 with a young and inexperienced team that was able to pull off wins over tough NJCAA DI competitors such as Brunswick Community College, Harcum College and Allegany College of Maryland. The Hawks finished the season Region 20 DI champions with season milestones to include scoring 85+ points 6 times, holding teams under 70 points seven times, and claiming the top shooting team honors in Region 20 (35.5 in 3 point percentages / 46.6 in field goal percentages). Also during the season the Hawks had five 30+ performances by three different players, Hassan Perkins, Trent Walker and Deondre Mitchell. In addition, five players averaged over a steal per game and 3 players averaged double figures in scoring.
Season stand-out players for the Hawks include Hassan Perkins, Region 20 All First Team and Honorable Mention All American, Mason Sword, Region 20 All First Team, and Trent Walker Region 20 Honorable Mention.
Mason Sword leads a returning class expecting to compete for a championship.
