The Hagerstown Hawks came out on top 91-87, in an overtime thriller on the road against Anne Arundel Community College on Wednesday, January 26th.
Both teams started strong with Anne Arundel taking a small lead at the end of the 1st half over the Hawks. Hagerstown was on fire to start the 2nd half, out scoring the Riverhawks 38-35. Malik Jordan (Virginia Beach, VA) scored the final basket in regulation to tie the game, 77-77, and force overtime. The Hawks used that momentum to outscore the Riverhawks 14-10 in OT, with Alex Ofori (Hagersotwn, MD) leading his team with 6 points.
Leading the Hawks were James Cottrell (Philadelpia, PA) scoring 26 points and Brye Hopkins (Bel Air, MD) scoring 17 points with both recording double doubles. Alex Ofori (Hagerstown, MD) also contributed 18 points.
