Hagerstown faced off against the Garrett College Lakers in a Sunday afternoon doubleheader at Hawks field.
Isaiah Reed got his third win of the season, allowing 3 earned runs off 6 hits, striking out 6 in 4 innings. The Hawks offense racked up 13 collective hits, with Brenden Moshos (3 for 3 with 5 RBIs) and Noah Wiggins (2 for 4 with 4 RBIs) each hitting a home run, in the 21-5 victory.
In game two, the Lakers battled the Hawks, with the score remaining tied at 3 through three innings. In the bottom of the fourth, Hagerstown took the lead when Riley Jackson scored on a wild pitch and Brenden Moshos hit an RBI single. Hagerstown broke open a 6-6 tie in the 6th inning on a sac fly by Noah Wiggins, an RBI single by Chris Jennings and and an RBI triple by Riley Jackson. Josh Clapsaddle ended up 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 2 home runs, with Michael Hawbaker (4 earned runs off 7 hits, striking out 7) and James Walsh (2 earned runs off 1 hit, striking out 2) combining on the mound, Walsh getting the win in relief.
The Hawks are at home on Wednesday, April 6th, for a doubleheader against Shenandoah University starting at 2:00 p.m.
