Dylan Reid (2-2) pitched a five-hitter with six strikeouts to lead Hagerstown Community College to a one-run win over CCBC Essex in the opener of a doubleheader sweep Saturday.
HCC scored all three of its runs in the third. Andrew Mathias, Nate Cotton and Enrique Morales each had a hit and Mathias and Branden Lynch each had an RBI.
In the second game, Josh Colliflower (3-0) remained unbeaten, pitching five innings with no earned runs and 12 strikeouts. Josh Menders had two hits, including a double, and an RBI, Lynch had two hits and an RBI, Mathias had two hits and Robbie Houck, Jaden Weida and Morales each had an RBI for the Hawks (15-6).
