NORTH EAST, Md. — Colby Smith pitched a two-hit shutout with five strikeouts to lead Hagerstown Community College in a five-inning win over Cecil College in the second game of a doubleheader split Saturday.
In the second game, Hagerstown led 2-0 before erupting for 11 runs in the fifth.
Colby Shimmel had three hits, including a home run, and four RBIs, Enrique Morales had a grand slam, Austin Moser had three RBIs, Quin Ambeault had three hits and two RBIs and Robbie Houck had two hits for the Hawks (20-16).
In the opener for the Hawks, Tanner Helms had two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs and Moser had two hits and two RBIs.
