Tanner Helms had two hits and three RBIs and Colby Shimmel pitched seven solid innings as Hagerstown Community College defeated Montgomery College on Wednesday.
Shimmel allowed five hits while striking out five en route to his fifth win of the year. Colby Smith threw two hitless innings in relief and struck out four.
Andrew Wenner and Quin Ambeault each had two hits and an RBI each, and Doug Cassera added an RBI double for the Hawks (19-14).
