Hagerstown Community College won the opener of Saturday's Maryland JUCO doubleheader split with Catonsville on the strength of Geraghty Showe's three hits and two RBIs and stellar relief pitching from Patrick O'Connor, who went 2 2/3 innings for the win.
Robbie Houck had two hits and Quin Ambeault and O'Connor each had an RBI for the Hawks.
Catonsville took the lead in the second game in the top of the seventh on an error.
Andrew Wenner and Showe each had two hits — one of Showe's was a double — and Doug Cassera had an RBI single for HCC (18-14).
