Hagerstown Community College swept Shenandoah University's junior varsity team in a doubleheader Sunday at HCC.
In the first game for the Hawks (11-6), Jared Durning (2-0) pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and no earned runs, and Andrew Wenner, Geraghty Showe and Austin Moser each had an RBI single.
Tanner Helms had three hits, including a triple and double, and two RBI in the second game for HCC. Wenner had two hits and an RBI, Showe drove in a run and Logan Wilmoth (2-1) went the distance on the mound, allowing a run and six hits while striking out six.
