Jason Paredes had the game-winning single to score Matt Kline in the bottom of the seventh to give HCC the win and a doubleheader sweep of CCBC Dundalk in Maryland JUCO play on Saturday.
Kline doubled for his second hit of the game to set up the single by Paredes. Justin Smith led the way with two hits and two RBIs for the Hawks (15-6, 4-1).
Patrick O'Connor (2-0) pitched 3 1/3 innings of relief, allowing one run on one hit to pick up the victory.
In the opener, Smith had two hits and two RBIs and Luke Harsh had two hits and an RBI, while Geraghty Showe had two RBIs and Sinjin Shoop added two hits to lead HCC.
Colby Byers (3-1) allowed one run in six innings to pick up the win.
