Smith, Hawks shut out Trinity International

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Colby Smith (1-0) pitched six innings with 11 strikeouts and Colin Osborn pitched the final frame and struck out the side to lead Hagerstown to its second consecutive shutout in a win over Trinity International on Saturday.

Jason Paredes had a double and hit a two-run homer in the first, Justin Smith had two RBIs and Matt Kline and Sinjin Shoop had two hits and an RBI each for the Hawks (4-1).

HCC 7, Quebec Academy 4

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Quin Ambeault hit a two-run double in the bottom of the third to break open a 2-2 tie and lift Hagerstown Community College over Quebec Academy on Saturday.

Ambeault finished with three RBIs, Matt Kline had two hits, including a triple and an RBI, Sinjin Shoop had two hits and Jordan Tapley (1-0), Reid Wallech and Justin Smith combined on 10 strikeouts for the Hawks (5-1).
