The Hagerstown CC Hawks ran at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational on Saturday and achieved much success.
Khlesa Connolly won the women's 6K race and secured her first collegiate win in the process. India Pack finished fifth and claimed the final individual medal of the race.
The Men's team won the team title led by Henry Schmidt's individual victory in the 8K layout. Nate McKinsey was a solid third while Sage Vipond and Garrett Kercheval finishing fifth and sixth respectively.
"The athletes are progressing nicely," Head Coach Mike Spinnler said. "Henry Schmidt and Khelsa Connolly are excellent examples both athletically and academically and they are inspiring their teammates as to what is truly
possible when you commit yourself to excellence."
The Hawks look to continue their momentum at the Shenandoah University hosted Hornet Cross Country Classic at Kernstown Battlefield in Winchester, VA on Saturday September 28th.
"The focus towards the Region XX Championships on October 26th has everyone motivated to keep doing the necessary preparations," Spinnler said.
