Coach Rebok adds New Faces to the 2018 Mix

The Hagerstown Hawks Women’s Volleyball team is looking forward to another great year in the MDJUCO and NJCAA Region XX. Coming off a successful 15-6 season (12-0 conference), the outlook for this season is much the same as last with a lot of unknown variables. Coach Rebok and her staff have added quite a few new faces to the 2018 roster, many of which come from outstanding high school programs, and are continuing to sign even more team members as the summer progresses. “ I have been able to see some of these athletes for 2 years now,” said Coach Rebok, “through high school and club volleyball seasons, and am looking forward to working with them on our own court. Last year was such a whirlwind, as most first years are I’m sure, and having some experience under our belts as a collegiate coaching staff will help us get off to a great start in August. With this team, we will have a lot of the same initial goals as we did last year because again we will be relying heavily on our Freshman class to contribute. It will be key for us to be efficient and work hard in practice; gain experience for our Freshman through some early scrimmages and pre-season matches; and give ourselves an opportunity to win matches by limiting our injuries and finding the lineup that works the best for our personnel.” Thus far, the Lady Hawks have added Maddi Miller (Setter - Clear Spring), Kiersten Erickson (Outside Hitter - St. Maria Goretti), Kacie Jones (Middle Blocker - North Hagerstown), Emily Ernst and Alexis Schlotterbeck (Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist and Middle Blocker - Williamsport), and Kyliene Wadel (Libero - Chambersburg) to their class of returning athletes. Coach added, “We are excited to have a group of athletes that are all-around players, with experience in multiple positions and responsible students academically as well. That combination of experience and success is what we are looking for in our recruits, and we know this group has a ton of potential”.
