Story By Phil Marshall

The Lady Hawks soccer team ended the regular season on a good note last week, taking the 5-0 victory over CCBC Catonsville.

Hagerstown started the scoring in the 43rd minute when Megan Smith scored on an assist from Taylor Neff

Less than a minute later, Smith returned the favor and assisted Neff for the 2nd goal of the game going into the half. The Hawks had 18 shots on goal up to this point.

Smith continued the scoring in the 60th minute, again assisted by Taylor Neff

Ryleigh McKinnon would add the Hawks 4th goal of the game on a shot 25 yards from the box.

Less than a minute later, Taylor Neff would score her 2nd goal which was once again assisted by Megan Smith. The two would combine with two goals and two assists each that was the difference in the game.

"I'm very proud of our girls finishing the season with a win," Head Coach Clifton Williams said. "We are excited to have a healthy squad as we head into the playoffs."

Later this week the Hawks will learn their opponent and where they are playing next on Saturday, October 26th.  Follow the Hawks on Facebook (HCC Hawk Athletics) or Twitter (hccathletics,) for updated game information.
