Lady Hawks Can't Keep Pace With Anne Arundel

Story by Phil Marshall

Hagerstown lost 6-2 to Anne Arundel Community College on Tuesday.

Megan Smith and Ryleigh McKinnon scored for the Hawks and both goals were unassisted.

"The team came out very flat for the first half," Head Coach Clifton Williams said. "We had some problems with our players not communicating with one another and being aware of the space around them."

Anne Arundel saw a lot of their success on the offensive side of the ball scoring six times.

"Anne Arundel did a good job stepping into the passing lane and creating issue to play the attacking strategy," Williams said.

The Hawks learned a lot of lessons in the defeat and plan to make adjustments going forward.

"I believe to play as a team, one must listen to each other to achieve success," Williams said. "I hope we can do that in our next game."

The Lady Hawks are back in action onn the road at CCBC-Essex on Saturday September 21st at 12:00PM.
