New recruits will certainly bring some excitement to this year's team, as players come from different schools, learning a lot from each other, and gaining knowledge from returning sophomores who were in the same situation last August. Last year's team was about developing and learning at an elevated level of competition. This year is about being better than before, raising the bar to another level...being more competitive. Last year was a very good season as we started a new program. It was great being able to take the talent and create team bonding that made the team stronger as the season ended. The low part of the season came with injuries, making it harder for the team to fully function at full strength. As a graduate of HJC, I embrace what this college has done for me as a student-athlete and coach. As a formula student, I have learned a lot great things from my instructors, and my past coaches have taught me that working hard leads to great achievement. I use these lessons in my life each day, which has helped me to be who I am today. This lesson, as a coach, I instill into my student-athletes, both when coaching, or off the pitch. Becoming an alum at HJC has been the best decision I could have made.
