This past Wednesaday the Woman Basketball squad defeated Prince George's Community College 70-66 in Conference play.
Hagerstown started off the season strong, winning four straight games. Chesapeake College gave the Lady Hawks their first taste of adversity. Up until this past Wednesday the Woman were in a slump, falling to Chesapeake College 83-50 and Monroe College 73-50.
The Hawks jolted back into action once they stepped into Prince Georges gym. Hagerstown held the lead 37-30 at halftime. Chelsea Cover sparked the intensity for the Hawks dropping 14 points and grabbing 3 steals before halftime.
In the third quarter vs. PGCC, Hagerstown meshed well as a team totalling 12 assists and 12 steals together. THe Hawks improved in the 3rd and 4th quarter limiting their turnovers and ultimatly acheiveing the "W."
The Woman are 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Their next game is Tuesday, December 4th, at Baltimore City Community College, at 6 p.m.
