Hagerstown finished the regular season with a home match against CCBC Catonsville that ended in a draw. That didn't stop Hagerstown from celebrating sophomore day before the match.
Hagerstown came out strong and both teams were creating chances but it was Catonsville that found the back of the net in the 26th minute to give them the lead.
Hagerstown would respond in the 39th minute when Kyle Bankey converted on a free kick attempt from long distance.
The teams would continue a long battle that went through two overtimes to conclude the game in a draw. The Hawks finish the season with a streak of three matches in which the team didn't lose.
"I'm proud of our guys for coming out and giving max effort," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "If we can play like we did today, I am confident we can be competitive in the playoffs."
The Hawks will start their playoff run on Saturday, October 26th. Follow Hawks Facebook (HCC Hawks Athletics) and Twitter (hccathletics) for upcoming game information.
