The Hawks won in dominating fashion against Allegany College of Maryland 10-1 on Tuesday.
The Hawks scored just minutes into the match when Travis Bamfo received a pass from Safi Abadir. Bamfo struck the ball into the back of the net to give the Hawks the early lead.
James Searcy doubled the lead in the 13th minute when he received a pass from Abadir to increase the lead to 2-0.
Searcy and Abadir combined for another goal in the 15th minute when Abadir chipped a pass over the back line to Searcy who found the back of the net.
Dalton Myers extended the score to 4-0 on a strike to the left corner.
In the 23rd minute, Ja'Cobi Tolliver finished his chance off a pass from Islam Sadikov to make it 5-0.
Kyle Bankey also scored before the half to make the score 6-0.
Safi Abadir scored in the 34th minute to give the Hawks a 7-0 lead.
Travis Bamfo converted on his 2nd goal to make the score 8-0 in the 42nd minute.
Allegany scored right before the half to make the score 8-1 going into the break.
Early in the 2nd half, Nick VanDerPool stormed down the wing to make the score 9-1.
Chriss Oboa concluded the scoring to make the final score 10-1.
The game was suspended in the 70th minute because of player safety. Allegany started with 11 players but decided to end the match to maintain health going forward.
"The biggest focus for my guys today was to play as a team and maintain possession," Head Coach CJ Trammell. "It's always important to play two touch soccer and we accomplished that today."
The Hawks have now won two in a row and are looking to end the season strong.
"The next game is essentially a playoff game," Trammell said. I want our guys to lay everything on the field."
The Hawks final regular season game will be Wednesday October 16 at home against CCBC Catonsville at 4:00PM.
