Hagerstown won their match against Cecil on Tuesday 8-1.

Kyle Bankey scored off a pass from Ahmed Abadir in the 10th minute to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.

Travis Bamfo scored on the assist from Kyle Bankey in the 18th minute to make it 3-0.

The Hawks continued the momentum two minutes later when Cleeford Sylne scored on a pass from Travis Bamfo to make it 4-0.

Cecil got on the board shortly after following a miscommunication between Hagerstown defenders but the Hawks would keep pouring it on.

In the 36th minute, Ahmed Abadir was brought down in the box giving Dalton Myers a penalty kick in which he converted. The Hawks led 5-1 at this point.

The Hawks kept pouring it on as James Searcy scored in the 41st minute to make it 6-1.

Islam Sadikov scored right before the half to make it 7-1 at the break.

Ahmed Abadir concluded the scoring in the 49th minute to make it 8-1.

As the 2nd half progressed, Cecil went down a few men due to injury as the match had to be called with 17:45 left to go in the game.

"The guys played pretty well today," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "It was encouraging to see eight goals from eight different goal scorers."

Hagerstown put on a dashing performance that has their coach hoping for more success like this going forward.

"The guys worked worked hard to press forward into the attack," Trammel said. "There are still things to work on, but this is a step in the right direction."

The Hawks next match-up will be on the road against The College of Southern Maryland on Friday September 27th at 4:00PM.
