Hawks Learn Lessons In Loss To CCBC Essex

Story by Phil Marshall

The Hawks Men's Soccer team lost to CCBC Essex on Saturday.

The Hawks played the match a man down for 88 minutes of the game.

"Our guys were pumped and ready to go leading into match but that changed everything," Head Coach CJ Trammell said.

The Hawks also gave up two penalty kicks in the first 15 minutes of the match.

"We need to be smarter with our challenges," Trammell said. "We are very banged up right now and rested our guys once the game got out of hand with the intention of getting healthy."

After suffering a bitter loss, the Hawks are looking rebound in their next matchup.

"This week is an important one for us and the guys understand that," he said. "The morale is still high and we believe in ourselves and we know what we are capable of."

The Hawks will come home on Tuesday September 24th with a match-up with Cecil College at 4:00PM.

"Ill keep pushing these guys to get better and hold themselves accountable to reach the level we are striving for," Trammell said. "We will be ready on Tuesday."
