As teams were prepping to start the match, a storm rolled through while sirens went off delaying the game by 30 minutes.
Once the game got going, Montgomery struck first in the 15th minute after pushing a lot of numbers forward and pressuring well as a unit.
In the 24th minute, the sirens went off again and delayed the game 30 more minutes due to storms in the area.
The Raptors added two more goals before the half to enter the break leading 3-0.
"Montgomery College played a lot of one and two touch soccer," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "They were constantly moving and communicating with other another, these are things we will need to improve on."
Early in the 2nd half, Montgomery scored and extended the lead to 4-0.
Abadir beat his defender and tucked a shot into the side netting beating the keeper.
Montgomery College added three more goals including a penalty kick that made the final score 7-1.
"This was an interesting match," Trammell said. "We didnt play well enough; to be a top competitor in this conference, we have to play like it."
The Hawks are back in action against Mercer College on Saturday September 14th at 12:00PM.
