Hagerstown CC improved to 2-5 on the season and 2-2 in the MDJUCO with a 3-1 victory over Harford CC.
The Hawks started off the scoring in the 34th minute when Safi Abadir received a pass from Nick VanDerPool.
Abadir beat a few defenders bending the ball past the keepers into the back of the net.
The half finished with the Hawks leading 1-0.
The Hawks doubled their lead in the 50th minute when James Searcy received a pass from Ja'Cobi Tolliver.
Searcy flicked the ball over a defender to himself and beat the keeper with a header.
The Fighting Owls would respond in the 64th minute when a Harford forward got to a loose ball and beat the keeper to cut the lead in half at 2-1.
In the 70th minute Cleeford Sylne was tripped by a Harford defender which led to a penalty kick.
Travis Bamfo converted on the penalty kick to give the Hawks a 3-1 lead.
Dido Lumu finished the contest with eight saves.
"This was an important win for us and I thought we played to the final whistle and got the result," CJ Trammell said. "We need to take this win and continue to build."
The Hawks next contest will be at Montgomery College on Thursday September 12th at 4:00PM.
