Hawks Drop Match With Lackawanna

Story by Phil Marshall

The Hawks fell to 1-4 after a 4-1 lost to Lackawanna on Saturday.

The Hawks started out strong in the 20th minute when Matt Medina assisted Cleeford Sylne to give the Hawks an early lead.

Lackawanna turned on the pressure and responded before the half to create a tie.

In the second half Lackawanna continue to create chances and were successful with three more goals.

"We were missing key players in the match," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "I don't think it was our best performance; we have a lot of things we need to improve on, but overall it is another opportunity for us to learn and grow as a team."

Dylan Staley played in goal and recorded seven saves.

It wasn't enough as Lackawanna took the victory.

The Hawks next match-up will be on Tuesday September 10 at 4:00PM against Harford Community College at home.
