The Hawks paid visit to Frederick CC and suffered a 4-0 loss.
Both teams started the game in a high energy back and forth contest throughout the first half that saw both teams create threatening chances.
Both keepers came up big for their teams as Dido Lumu ended the match with seven saves.
At halftime, the team found themselves in a no score affair.
Early in the second half, Frederick was awarded a penalty kick after receiving a pass in the box.
Frederick would convert on the penalty kick, giving them the lead.
A few moments later, a ball was played across the box by Frederick and goalkeeper Dido Lumu made a big save but the rebound ensued the 2nd goal for Frederick.
Frederick went on to add two more goals to finish the game and win 4-0.
"We are getting better every day," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "I don't think the score line is indicative of how the team played yesterday."
Dido Lumu received a red card late in the game after an attempted save against a Frederick Forward.
"We are a young team and every day is an opportunity to learn," Trammell said. "I think we need to learn from this one and keep developing."
Hagerstown returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Scranton, PA to face Lackawanna College at 3:00PM
"We need to bring the level of intensity we brought this game to every game the rest of the year and take advantage of our opportunities," he said.
