The Hawks wrapped up their two game road trip with a matchup against Potomac State College of WVU Catamounts.
The Hawks struck first to jump to an early lead in the 14th minute of the match when Dalton Myers scored off of a corner kick.
Hagerstown would double their lead in the 20th minute when Ja'Cobi Tolliver flicked the ball past the keeper giving the Hawks a 2-0 lead.
Potomac State cut the lead in half in the 30th minute on a free kick that was served into the box.
The game went back and forth with both team creating scoring chances.
In the 86th minute, the Catamounts were awarded a penalty kick that would lead to a tied game and send the game into overtime.
"I think we played well and put together a mostly complete performance across the board," Head Coach CJ Trammell said. "Its frustrating for us to be leading the match for so long to have things change in an instant just five minutes before the final whistle."
Two minutes into overtime the Catamounts scored the winning goal on a ball that fell awkwardly between the Hagerstown defenders and goalkeeper that landed in the net.
"Overall we are getting better and the guys are fighting for one another," Trammell said. "The next step is to find the killer instinct to finish off our opponent and I am confident we will get there.
The Hawks return home on Tuesday September 3rd against Chesapeake College at 4:00PM.
